OIA Global is privately owned by LDI Ltd.Summary:The Business Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing parcel shipping costs, carrier service performance, and overall customer experience within a high-volume logistics environment. This role combines advanced data analysis with carrier strategy, solution implementation, and customer-facing communication. The ideal candidate is highly analytical and confident, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.Leadership Responsibilities:This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilitiesMay provide guidance and subject matter expertise to cross-functional teamsDuties and Responsibilities:Data Analysis & ModelingBuild and maintain advanced Excel models analyzing parcel rates, zones, dimensional (DIM) rules, surcharges, and landed costsPerform savings analysis, scenario modeling, and contract impact assessmentsAnalyze large datasets from shipping systems, carrier invoices, and client dataDevelop dashboards and reports using pivot tables, Power Query, and advanced formulasCarrier Performance Monitoring & ReportingMonitor carrier performance including transit times, on-time delivery, exceptions, claims, and billing accuracyTrack compliance against SLAs and contractual commitmentsIdentify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunitiesPrepare and lead performance review meetings with customers and carriersParcel Carrier Strategy & NegotiationSupport and participate in negotiations with parcel carriersEvaluate pricing structures, surcharges, and operational alignmentAssist with RFP analysis and carrier selection processesValidate savings and performance improvements post-implementationSolution Implementation & OptimizationLead or support onboarding of new parcel carrier solutionsCoordinate with Operations, IT, and carriers during implementationValidate system configurations such as rating logic, zone mapping, and service rulesIdentify and drive continuous improvement opportunitiesCustomer-Facing EngagementParticipate in customer meetings, including MBRs and QBRsTranslate complex data into clear business insights and recommendationsSupport sales and account teams with data-driven strategiesBuild strong relationships through effective communicationCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Operations, Finance, Sales, and Account Management teamsServe as a subject matter expert on parcel cost drivers and carrier behaviorSupport strategic and operational decision-making through data analysisRequired Skills and Abilities:Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas; VBA a plus)Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to explain complex data to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environmentEducation and Experience:3+ years of experience in business analysis, logistics, or supply chain rolesPreferred:Experience working with parcel carriers and contract analysisKnowledge of zones, dimensional weight (DIM), and surcharge structuresExperience monitoring carrier SLA performanceFamiliarity with WMS or shipping platformsBackground in e-commerce, 3PL, or parcel consultingPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periodsOccasional movement within office or warehouse environment as neededAbility to travel occasionally for customer or carrier meetings (if required)OIA Global is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
