Position Summary: This role provides comprehensive Sales and Marketing support through product education and support to key customers and employees, including leading training and attending industry events. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining educational materials, answering inquiries, ensuring marketing claim compliance, and supporting new product creation. The role also involves conducting sensory analysis, contributing to the monthly newsletter, leading the interdepartmental label compliance group, and evaluating new materials or products. A proactive approach to product education and compliance is essential and will include the integration of sales and marketing into educational content to support sales goals and marketing initiatives. Essential Functions and Basic Duties: Provides in-person product education and support to key customers and employees; leads, performs and attend trainings, education, industry conventions, trade shows, key account training and events, and other industry-related events. May include domestic and some international travel up to 50% of the time. Creates and maintains company education tools and services, including but not limited to technical sheets, research summaries, training materials, recorded audio and visual trainings, and new product introduction materials. Collaborates with sales and marketing department to ensure educational tools align with sales strategies and marketing. Answers customer and sales force inquiries regarding products and the company. Ensures marketing claim compliance is within regulations; reviews all written materials for compliance and assists with new material or product evaluations; leads interdepartmental label compliance group. Supports the creation and introduction of new products. Works closely with sales and marketing team to develop product launch strategies and training materials. Conducts analysis alongside Formulators involving taste, touch, smell, visual presentation and color analysis of materials being utilized for new products to ensure that materials meet specifications and provide recommendations. Assists with monthly newsletter, social media content, and other marketing programs. Incorporates sales-driven messages and product highlights. Other related duties as required. Qualifications: Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Health related Life Science Field required; Master’s Degree or above in a Human Health related Life Science field or Registered Dietician preferred. Required Knowledge: Proficient with MS Office and other office software; audio-visual equipment and web-based training platforms. Experience Required: 8 years of related experience in the nutritional supplements industry or human nutrition, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with structure function claim regulations and DSHEA preferred. Skills / Abilities: Registered Dietician, or Naturopath preferred. Advanced technical research and writing skills with acute attention to detail required. Excellent public-speaking skills with an ability to relate to a diverse customer base and various audience sizes. Able to build rapport at all levels of the organization as well as with external contacts. Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to integrate sales strategies into educational content
