Terran Robotics is building the future of sustainable housing through the autonomous construction of adobe homes using a machine dubbed Terraformer. We are seeking an Autonomous Construction Operator to join our field operations team. This role is responsible for mixing material, operating our robotic construction system, and pushing construction progress on residential jobsites. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and equipment, and able to support daily field operations with minimal supervision.

We are seeking an Autonomous Construction Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be at the cutting edge of technology and work hard to build a better world.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate and monitor robotic system in outdoor field environments
Mix and deliver adobe material to Terraformer
Operate small equipment (e.g., mixer, skid steer, telehandler, man lift, etc.) as needed
Use hand and power tools safely and proficiently
Conduct daily equipment inspections (startup, shutdown, safety checks)
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment
Document work performed and report issues to supervisor
Assist with setup, calibration, and positioning of robotic systems
Support continuous operations across assigned shifts including weekends if needed
Identify abnormal operations
Troubleshoot and fix mechanical and operational issues in real time
Required Qualifications
Mechanically inclined with hands-on experience using tools or equipment
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Physically capable of lifting, standing, and performing field work
Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned shifts
Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (local commute preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating small equipment (e.g., skid steer or similar machinery)
Background in construction, maintenance, automotive, or related trades
Trade school or technical training (construction, robotics, mechatronics, etc.)
Prior experience working with robotics, automation, or mechanical systems
Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices
Experience working in outdoor or field-based roles
Location & Travel
Luling, Texas
Compensation
Salary Range: $20–$25/hr commensurate with experience, qualifications and location
Equity: Participation in the Company’s Equity Incentive Plan
