Posting DetailsPosition Information Position TitleAdministrative AssistantDivisionAcademic AffairsDepartment/OfficeBusiness AdministrationPosition Summary Information AdvertisementThe Business Administration department at St. Catherine University invites applications for a part-time Administrative Assistant position.The job responsibilities span three areas:(1) Securing and coordinating Business Administration (BA) and Fashion Design and Merchandising (FDM) Departments (and university) resources;(2) Organize BA & FDM departments' events;(3) Primary administrative support for the BA and FDM Departments (Chairs and Faculty).This position is the first point of contact for all internal and external contacts for the Fashion Design and Merchandising and Business Administration Departments. Assist department Faculty to administer and maintain compliance with college policies.Minimum QualificationsMust have strong oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and be comfortable working in a multitasking environment with frequent interruptions.Preferred QualificationsExcellent human relations skillsAbility to respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, in a manner that affirms the worth and preserves the dignity of individuals, families, and communitiesGood public relations skillsHighly motivated and able to meet deadlines;Able to prioritize, problem-solve, organize, and self-direct work;Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic environment;Ability to facilitate the workflow of the department;Strong attention to detail;Experience creating and managing data repositories;Ability to serve as a business partner with other university departments,Ability to respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures.Experience with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in Office ManagementEEO StatementCompensation:Hourly wage is $17.00-$22.50 depending on qualifications and experience.The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
