The schedule for this position will be from 9am-6pm schedule, Monday-Friday, both in the Pendleton office and within the local community.Candidates chosen to advance in the hiring process will receive an invitation to attend an in‑person interview at our Pendleton, Oregon location.Summary Of DutiesAs an employee working within the Child Welfare Program, you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon’s most vulnerable children and families.As a Family Time Coordinator, You WillGather and Document Information: Collect and record information from the caseworker, children, parents, relatives, case providers, schools, and other relevant resources to plan family time visits. Review Family Time Agreements: Meet with parents and caregivers to review family time agreements and guidelines, suggesting community resources as needed. Supervise Family Time: Supervise family time in an office or community setting, documenting relevant information. This ensures the safety and well-being of the children during these interactions. Transport Children: Assist with transporting children to family time visits and other necessary appointments. Collaborate with Caseworkers: Work closely with caseworkers to assess the details of family time supervision. Recommend services needed for case planning and relay important information about the children and their families or caregivers. Interested in learning more? Here are some testimonials from current ODHS Workers.Minimum QualificationsA valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting; ORAn associate degree in any field; ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience.Essential AttributesListed in order of importance, with the top attribute being the most vital:Experience being adaptable to flexible scheduling, including overtime and shifting priorities as needed. Skilled in de-escalating tense or hostile situations with professionalism and empathy.Experienced in task organization, prioritization, and time management to consistently meet deadlines.Proven experience successfully engaging and communicating effectively with unmotivated or resistant clients.Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word or various database software programs.Working Conditions Work schedule will be from 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday. Hours of work will fluctuate in response to service needs, and flexibility is essential as priorities change. Occasional compensated overtime, including evening and weekend shifts, may be necessary.You may engage with people who have been impacted by trauma and who may exhibit strong emotional reactions, including potential hostility.Situations may arise that are stressful and require you to make prompt, well‑reasoned decisions.Your work will be conducted in offices, participant's homes, and other community sites. Occasional travel is required for attending meetings, trainings, and other case related activities. This position requires occasional overnight travel.
