Firearms Technical Specialist
Position SummaryThe Firearms Technical Specialist serves as a subject matter expert on Canik USA firearms, providing advanced technical guidance, product expertise, and diagnostic support to customers, dealers, and internal teams. This role focuses on deep product knowledge, mechanical troubleshooting, and performance optimization across the Canik product line.The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, extensive firearms knowledge, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable guidance.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical information authority on all Canik firearms, accessories, and related systems for consumer-related mattersAssist with ecommerce development including product descriptions and informationDrive daily maintenance of ecommerce order-related inquiriesRepresent the product management team in the industry networkAnalyze product feedback and identify trends to support continuous improvement and product qualityDocument technical findings, recurring issues, and resolutions within internal systemsPartner with Product Development and other departments to resolve complex technical mattersAssist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, manuals, and support resourcesSupport product launches by developing deep expertise in new models, features, and enhancementsEducate internal teams and external partners on product specifications, capabilities, and proper useStay current on industry trends, firearm technology, and applicable regulationsQualificationsRequired:2+ years of experience in a technical product, support, or specialist role (firearms or mechanical products preferred)Strong working knowledge of firearms, including handgun platforms and safe handling practicesProven troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to explain technical concepts clearly and effectivelyProficiency with CRM or internal tracking systems and standard computer applicationsPreferred:Prior experience in the firearms industry or as a certified armorerMilitary, law enforcement, or competitive shooting backgroundExperience with firearm diagnostics, repair, or quality control processesExposure to supporting dealer networks or product distribution channels
