Let Purvis Industries show you how we practice these principles daily!Position SummaryThis role requires a hands-on engineer who can take projects from concept through design, manufacturing, and final implementation, while collaborating closely with customers, sales, and shop personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with sales and customers to understand application requirements and develop effective mechanical solutionsDesign and engineer custom equipment and systems to solve complex technical challengesCreate detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorksDevelop complete drawing packages for manufacturing, including BOMs and fabrication detailsManage projects from initial concept through final build and implementationProvide hands-on support during assembly, testing, and troubleshooting in the shopAssist in evaluating and improving designs for manufacturability and performanceContribute to continuous improvement of engineering and design processesSupport and potentially develop skills in robotic integration, including ABB robot programmingExperience with GD&T to interpret, apply, and communicate engineering design intent on drawingsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field (or higher)Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant mechanical design experienceProficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling and drafting)Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processesHands-on shop or manufacturing experience preferredAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customersPreferred QualificationsExperience designing custom machinery or automated systemsFamiliarity with robotics or automation systems Interest or experience in programming industrial robots (ABB experience a plus)BenefitsPaid time off401(k) enrollmentHealth insurance Dental InsuranceVision insuranceLife InsuranceAbility to set up a Flexible Spending AccountYou will be a valued member of a stable and established company.
