Lead Mechanical Engineer PE

Designed various mechanical systems, including steam, natural gas, compressed air, fuel, laboratory gases, plumbing systems (domestic, waste, vent), chilled and heating hydronic water, refrigeration, and utility piping design, and air distribution (supply, return, exhaust). Designs included multi-phase new construction, renovation, and recapitalization projects for aircraft hangar and maintenance facilities, nuclear site laboratories, fueling stations, generator and pump houses, offices, and dorms. Assessed the condition of physical assets and performed utility studies to evaluate current and future capacity for developing campuses. Coordinated with interdisciplinary teams (electrical, fire safety, architectural, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, civil) and assertively directed subcontractors to align project deliverables with client requirements and QA/QC protocols. Served as Lead Mechanical Engineer managing HVAC, plumbing, and complex hydronic systems design from project inception to completion. Led cross-functional engineering teams to Ensure code, budget, and schedule compliance. Developing code-compliant engineering designs, drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and specifications (ASHRAE, ICC, UFC). Coordinated with various vendors and used vendor selection software to select equipment (air handlers, rooftop units, chillers, water heaters, compressors, condensing units, heat trace, fixtures, furnaces, and other appurtenances). Authored comprehensive preliminary, pre-final, and final design reports and engineering specifications, prepared accurate cost estimations, material quantities, and equipment selections.
