Shape the Future.Position OverviewSunrise Hospital and Medical CenterWe are seeking to hire a group of board-certified/board-eligible OB/GYNs to provide off-site gynecology call coverage supporting inpatient and surgical gynecology needs.This role is designed as a second-line escalation and surgical support function, partnering closely with the on-site laborist and CNM teams, who manage initial patient evaluation and triage. Outpatient follow-up is handled by community GYN physicians.The physicians will be available within a 30-minute call radius to provide timely, high-quality surgical and inpatient gynecologic care when escalation is required.Core ResponsibilitiesOn-Call Gynecology CoverageProvide off-site call coverage for:Inpatient gynecology consultsEscalated cases from on-site laborists/CNMsUrgent and emergent surgical gynecology needs with post-op managementDaily Post-Op/Inpatient rounding and dischargeMaintain 30-minute response time from notification to hospital arrivalSurgical CarePerform urgent/emergent GYN procedures including:Dilation & curettage (D&C)Laparoscopy (ectopic pregnancy, ovarian torsion, cystectomy)Management of gynecologic hemorrhageHysterectomyWork with anesthesia, OR teams, and nursing staff to ensure efficient case flowLaborist & CNM SupportServe as backup GYN surgeon for:OB hospitalist (laborist) teamCertified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)Respond to cases requiring surgical intervention or higher-acuity management beyond scope of on-site teamAssist with cesarean hysterectomyCare CoordinationCommunicate with:Patient s primary OBGYN (when applicable)Hospital care teamsEnsure appropriate handoff and post-operative care planningSchedule & Coverage ModelShift-based call coverage (12- or 24-hour blocks)Off-site call with required 30-minute response timeFlexible scheduling (weekday, weekend, and/or nights)No routine clinic responsibilitiesOpportunity to work with OBGYN residentsCompensation StructureShift-BasedFlat rate per call shiftRate negotiable and open to keeping your own billingMalpractice is included (claims-made) and we will cover the tailQualificationsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & GynecologyActive or eligible for Nevada medical licenseDemonstrated competency in emergent gynecologic surgeryAbility to work independently in a hospital-based settingStrong collaboration with laborist and midwifery teamsPreferred ExperiencePrior hospital-based or laborist experienceExperience managing escalated surgical GYN casesComfort with rapid operative decision-makingLife in Las VegasNo state income taxThriving cultural scene museums, performing arts, and the downtown Arts DistrictWorld-class dining, spas, and shoppingOutdoor paradise nearby: Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead, Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and more300+ days of sunshine and mild winters in a welcoming desert climateJoin Our VisionIf you re passionate about empowering women and building something meaningful from the ground up, Hera Women s Health invites you to bring your expertise, compassion, and vision to our new midwifery team.Apply today to shape the future of women s healthcare in Las Vegas.Contact Lori Stephenson (text friendly)
