Senior Go Backend Developer

Position Overview Join our team as a Golang Backend Developer and play a crucial role in shaping our server software. You'll design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions, crafting seamless interfaces to core IT systems, building RESTful APIs, and optimizing database designs for performance. Proficient in Go and Postgres, you'll write high-performance code, ensure data integrity, and drive the reliability of our server software. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain server software and supporting databases Craft interfaces to our internal software systems to improve workflow efficiency Write high-quality Go code that is efficient, scalable, and maintainable Support and optimize Postgres databases for performance and reliability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements Develop and implement creative solutions to complex technical problems Demonstrate ownership and accountability for the quality and reliability of our software Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies Required Qualifications Education BS/BA degree or higher in Computer Science‍ Experience 8+ years of experience with the Go programming language 8+ years of experience with Docker 5+ years of experience with Postgres databases Experience with server software development and deployment Experience building interfaces to other software packages Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to accelerate development Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into web applications Familiarity with building conversational interfaces or AI-assisted features Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Strong communication and leadership skills Skills Reliable, persistent and results-oriented Easy to get along with; able to work with a team Must demonstrate a high level of integrity Consistently transparent, courageous and enthusiastic Must be able to pass a background check Job Type Full time Location This position is entirely remote.
