Akkodis is seeking a SDET for a Contract position.Rate Range: $60-$64/hr on W2 without benefits, The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factorsTitle: SDET Job Types: ContractLocation: REMOTEPosition Summary: As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be instrumental in building and scaling our automated testing infrastructure. Working closely with our Automation Architect, QA engineers, and development teams, you'll evaluate existing frameworks, design and implement new automation solutions, and ensure comprehensive test coverage that accelerates our release cycles while maintaining the highest quality standards.This role is ideal for quality-minded engineers who are passionate about automation, want to take an active role in growing testing capabilities, and thrive in fast-paced Agile environments. You'll have the opportunity to influence testing strategy, implement automation best practices, and make a measurable impact on product quality and delivery velocity.What you bring:5+ years of professional experience in a software development/testing environment.Strong experience writing automated test code and automation tools.Expertise in UI test automation using Cypress or similar tools.Strong experience with API testing using SoapUI, RestAssured, or similar tools.Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6, or similar.Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, RSpec, FitNesse, TestNG, or similar.Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, or similar.Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or similar.Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or similar.Strong understanding of Agile SDLC practices, including Scrum, Lean, or XP.Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible and Jenkins, along with CI/CD pipelines.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with enterprise architecture and SOA best practices.Strong experience with distributed source-control systems such as Git.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams.Working knowledge of Docker and Linux is a plus.Experience with WebLogic Application Server is a plus.Healthcare domain experience is a plus.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.Benefits:Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
