Job DetailsDescriptionInternship Summary: Learn hands-on donor relations experience as you work at Child and Family Services Haven House, as Erie County’s only licensed domestic violence shelter. In this role, you will support the Community Relations Coordinator and assist in fundraising activities for survivors of domestic violence and help support children, individuals and families throughout the holiday season. The main priority will be implementing Toyland, Haven House’s holiday donation drive. This position involves supporting the C+FS Public Relations and Development team on Toyland and throughout Domestic Violence Awareness Month.Internship ResponsibilitiesAssist in donor cultivationEffectively communicate with donors through email and phone calls for schedulingMaintain an accurate donation scheduleProperly address donation needs and donor inquiriesCommunicate clearly between the Development and Haven House teamsAssist at tabling and community education events throughout Domestic Violence Awareness MonthLearn and utilize Fundraising Software, Raiser's Edge to help manage donor portfolios and enter donor activityMinimum RequirementsCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a focus on communication, marketing, fundraising, human services, public relations or related stud.Must be enrolled in an internship program or receiving school credit for internship hoursStrong communication skills and interpersonal skillsScheduleFlexible working hoursThis is an unpaid internship for college credit.Child And Family Services Is An Equal Opportunity EmployerChild and Family Services provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran or familial status, or genetics.
