We currently have an opening for a Project Engineer in Sierra Vista, AZ.RequirementsHighly motivated with a strong desire to learn, grow, and advance within the companyBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent construction experience (4+ years preferred)Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentationValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings (safety-sensitive position)Ability to work in both office and field environmentsPersonal SkillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to take initiative and manage multiple prioritiesStrong problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively with project teamsPositive attitude and professional demeanorResponsibilities IncludeSupport implementation and enforcement of Company and Project Safety PlansCoordinate with field teams to address safety, quality, and technical needsAssist in developing and maintaining Hazard Risk Analysis (HRA) matricesTrack and analyze project production, quantities, and performanceManage material procurement, tracking, and delivery schedulesCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedulesPrepare, submit, and track project submittals, RFIs, and other documentationAssist with project controls including budgeting, forecasting, and cost trackingSupport Project Managers with pay applications, change orders, and financial reportingPerform quantity take-offs and assist in estimating and cost analysisVerify material deliveries and ensure compliance with plans and specificationsMonitor quality control processes and resolve field-related issuesAssist with permitting, utility locates (Blue Stake), and pre-construction planningMaintain accurate project documentation and reporting recordsParticipate in project meetings and coordinate communication between stakeholdersPreferred ExperienceHeavy civil and/or industrial construction experienceExperience with HeavyJob or similar project management softwareAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and special provisionsAdditional InformationAll other duties as assigned.
