Job Description Position SummaryThe Pressman is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials according to production schedules and customer specifications. This position ensures consistent print quality, accurate color matching, and efficient press operation while following safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate printing presses (offset, flexographic, digital, or screen press)Review job tickets and production schedules to verify specificationsLoad paper, plates, ink, and other materials into pressAdjust press settings for proper registration, color density, and alignmentMonitor print quality throughout production runsPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical or print quality issuesRecord production data and material usageMaintain a clean and safe work environmentFollow OSHA and company safety proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required2+ years of press operation experience preferredKnowledge of printing processes and color standardsAbility to read and interpret job specificationsMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periodsWillingness to work flexible shifts, including nights or weekends if required
