Position Type:Other/Dean of StudentsDate Posted:4/22/2026Location:Wallace Elementary SchoolDate Available:2026-2027 SYJob Summary:Assist students with peer relationships, self-understanding, study skills, career exploration, etc. Act as a resource person for parents in dealing with students' educational and personal problems.Qualifications:Minimum of five years of successful performance as an educator.Preferred: Master's Degree in Educational Administration, or a related field.Preferred: Holds a principal certification or is currently pursuing principal certification through an approved program.CPI certification Duties and Responsibilities,(including but may not be limited to):Assist with the school-wide behavior systems (such as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) or Restorative Practices, Crisis Response, and manage disciplinary referrals.Assess the needs of the staff, facilitate staff development programs, and assist the building principal in the development and delivery of in-service programs for building staff.Assist the building principal in developing, maintaining, and communicating building procedures to staff, parents, and students.Assist the building principal with interviewing and onboarding certified teaching staff and the support staff, as needed.Assist the building principal in developing and/or maintaining an effective school/community relations program for assigned building(s).Collaborating with the building principal to address and recommend resolutions for attendance concerns.Assist in developing and implementing policies and practices to maintain effective building safety, as well as emergency and disaster procedures.Participate in the coordination of extracurricular programs of the school.Support curriculum development and implementation in cooperation with administrators, supervisors, and teachers.Coordinate the services available to students in cooperation with the pupil services department by serving as a member of the student support team and coordinating school and community resources for students at risk.Oversee the implementation of 504 Service Agreements.Perform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assigned by the Principal, Superintendent, or designee.
