Job title: Actuary (ACAS / FCAS)Location: San Antonio, TXContract:6 MonthsJob Description:The Actuary (ACAS/FCAS) is responsible for advanced actuarial analysis, financial risk evaluation, pricing, reserving, and predictive modeling across Property & Casualty insurance portfolios.This role supports business strategy, regulatory compliance, and financial planning by providing insightful analytics and actuarial expertise.The ACAS/FCAS designation reflects deep professional competency and advanced proficiency in P&C actuarial methodologies.Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:Experience Required: 8-10Must have ACAS FCAS designation or relevant designation in other Actuarial societies.Must have 7 years of experience with Actuarial - General Insurance Actuarial - InsuranceMust have PC Insurance experience.State Filing Experience with DOI for personal lines of Insurance is preferred.Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related Actuarial business analytical experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.Demonstrated competency with relevant actuarial| mathematical| and statistical techniques and approaches used to support fact-based decision-making.Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools | data visualization | developing analysis queries and procedures in Python | SQL or other analysis software | and relevant industry data methods and ability to connect external insights to business problems.Experience communicating complex solutions and analysis to both technical and nontechnical audiences.Must Have:Requires 8–10 years total experienceMinimum 7+ years of actuarial experience within general insurance / P&C insuranceBachelor’s degree OR equivalent additional actuarial experience may substituteACAS and FCAS designation (or equivalent actuarial society credential)Direct experience working in Property & Casualty insuranceProficiency using Python and/or SQL for actuarial analysis and query developmentStrong application of actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques for decision-making
