Embedded/ QA Release Engineer

IntroductionAs an Embedded Release Engineer, you will play a critical role in our software quality and delivery by driving process improvements to the Perception development process. You will work with machine learning engineers and cross-functionally with other teams as a force multiplier to improve their development process from idea to implementation to testing to deployment. This is a critical role to squash inefficiencies in our development process, improve the development experience for everyone in the software organization, and ultimately bring our autonomous vehicles to market sooner.Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experienceProven experience, at least 6 years, as a QA Engineer or similar role in software quality assuranceExperience with both manual and automated testing methodologiesFamiliarity with testing tools such as TestRail, or equivalentStrong understanding of various testing methodologies (functional, regression, performance, integration, etc.)Experience with issue tracking and project management tools like JiraStrong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamworkPrior work experience at client or in client's IndustryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)[To be determined][To be determined][To be determined]Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications and identify any potential risks or issuesAnalyze PR from developer - Perform functional, regression, integration, performance testingTriage the scenarios that the system flags for reviewCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, product managers, and designers) / highlight impact of performance regressionsReport and track regressions / defects in an organized mannerContinuously improve QA processes to ensure no performance degradationConduct root cause analysis for defects and work with the development team to ensure timely resolutionsValidate fixes and improvements with comprehensive re-testing and ensure changes do not introduce new regressionsProvide clear and concise test reports, highlighting risks, issues, and test progressSupport merge process (infra, pipedream jobs, first pass scenario triage, etc)Increase developer velocity while infra improvements are underwayHelp get PR's through the PR validation processFor immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
