Part-time Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe Best Western Plus University Inn & Conference Center is looking for a part-time Maintenance Technician to perform property maintenance and repairs.A typical day for a Maintenance Technician starts out gathering any work orders that might have come in before their shift. When something breaks our technicians will assess the situation and decide what the best method of repairing it is.Job duties include:Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility.Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, tiling, electrical work, wall surface repairs, painting, HVAC work and masonry.Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs.Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.Maintain the physical condition of the hotel according to established operating and safety standards, ensuring that service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner.Check on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits, including refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making repairs where necessary.Provide guest room service/repair status to Front Desk, General Manager, and Executive Housekeeper.Respond in a timely, courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, or requests.Properly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment.Complete preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.What would make you successful in this role?Passion for performing repairsAbility to work independentlyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detailAbility to bend over, stoop, and crawlAvailability to work a flexible schedule: weekends, and holidaysBenefits:401(k) with company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramReferral Program - Earn $500 for referring someoneEmployee Recognition Program - earn gift cardsEmployee discountsOn-Demand Pay Access to earned wages before your regular paycheckDouble-time pay on Company holidays 7 per yearBest Western Plus Brand Hotel DiscountsRequirements:Attention to detailHotel experience preferredMaintenance experience preferredAbility to work weekends and holidaysAbout Us:The Best Western Plus is managed by Aileron Management.
