Location Site: Salem Hospital Main Campus
Department: SH Endoscopy Lab
Position Type: Full Time
Schedule: Day shift (4 days one week, 3 days the next week). Beginning at 0630, staff arrive on staggered shifts. Shifts generally end at 18:30. All shifts are 9 or 10-hour shifts. Call shift Hours: Call shifts are generally from 17:00 to 06:30 weekdays, and 24 hours on weekends and holidays.

Your Role With Us:
You will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, quality healthcare to patients. Your conscientious and positive communication style will allow you to work best with a team of seasoned professionals and play a key role in patient care and interaction. You'll provide intraoperative care during endoscopic procedures. Population of this unit includes adult, adolescent/young adult and geriatric in-patients and out-patients ranging from healthy to critically ill that require screening, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic services. RN procedures are also provided such as motility and pH tests and PEG tube checks. Anesthesia services support most procedures with RN provided moderate sedation on a limited basis.

Background/Expertise:
Graduate of a Diploma RN Program and at least 5 years of acute care RN experience ADN, BSN, non-nursing bachelor’s degree with MSN, or MSN.
BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
ACLS is required after 6 months.
Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN) preferred.
Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
Minimum of one (1) year of RN Staff Nurse experience required, acute care RN Staff Nurse experience preferred.
