Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a manufacturing engineer to support production, tooling, and process development for our forged, spun, and machined wheel product lines. This role will focus on optimizing equipment performance, improving reliability, and supporting process efficiency throughout the wheel manufacturing process—from forging to machining and final inspection. The ideal candidate will have a hands‑on approach, practical engineering experience, and a strong understanding of wheel geometry, setup, and production flow.
Key Responsibilities
Support and improve wheel manufacturing processes across forging, spinning, CNC machining, and inspection
Assist in tooling development, machining setup standardization, and part flow coordination specific to wheel production
Collaborate with machinists, programmers, and engineers to reduce setup times and improve process repeatability
Plan and support equipment upgrades, layout changes, and tooling improvements within wheel‑focused areas
Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), setup sheets, tooling documentation, and inspection workflows
Work with quality and maintenance teams to troubleshoot production issues, improve uptime, and ensure part conformity
Track production metrics, including cycle times, scrap rates, and setup consistency, and implement targeted improvements
Provide on‑the‑floor technical support and hands‑on assistance for wheel‑related job launches or engineering changes
Ensure that all engineering and production processes meet internal and customer quality standards
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role; experience with forged or machined wheels is highly preferred
Understanding of manufacturing workflows, CNC processes, and tooling systems used in wheel production
Hands‑on experience supporting setup, process validation, or troubleshooting in a shop environment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, especially complex wheel geometries and tolerances
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, TPM, etc.) and process documentation best practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems or tracking tools is a plus
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered
