This role involves implementing and maintaining strict adherenceto railroad safety protocols\and operating rules to protect workers, prevent disruptions to railtraffic, and safeguard the public.\Key responsibilities include coordinating with train crews, contractors,and railroad dispatch centers\to ensure seamless operations and compliance with federal, state, andrailroad-specific regulations.\The RWIC is responsible for establishing safe work zones, communicatingauthority needs, and\maintaining situational awareness to anticipate and address potentialhazards promptly.\This position requires excellent communication skills, a high level ofaccountability, and the ability\to work independently in various weather conditions. RWICs often travelextensively and may work\irregular hours, including nights and weekends, to support projects atdifferent railroad locations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: Provide Project On-Track Safety when working on or near railroadtracks Communicate and coordinate with train dispatchers to secure trackprotection Enforce compliance with railroad safety rules, including the RoadwayWorker Protection (RWP) regulations Monitor and manage train movements within designated work zones Conduct job briefings with workers to review safety protocols andoperational plans Respond to emergencies and implement safety measures to mitigaterisks Maintain accurate documentation of track protection activities andincident Demonstrate and attain CDL Core Values: SAFETY, PEOPLE, INTEGRITY,ACCOUNTABILITY, and EXCELLENCE Demonstrate and attain CDL Core Focus: CUSTOMER SERVICE
