Pharmacy Technician Our client is a fast-growing Long Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy based in Burbank, California. They provide exceptional pharmacy services to long-term care facilities and are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join their expanding team. Position Summary Operating in a high-volume, fast-paced physical setting, the Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in processing, preparing, and dispensing medications while ensuring strict compliance with clinical, financial, and regulatory guidelines. This role requires seamless communication with both internal teams and external customers to deliver timely and accurate service. Key Responsibilities Medication Preparation: Accurately prepare and package medications for distribution to patients, including the utilization of specialized compliance packaging (e.g., bubble packs). Dispensing & Record Keeping: Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescriptions and maintaining precise, up-to-date medication records. Customer & Vendor Relations: Field incoming calls and perform outbound inquiries. Collaborate effectively with internal and external customers to ensure orders are processed efficiently and meet all necessary requirements prior to fulfillment. Inventory Management: Efficiently manage pharmacy inventory, track stock levels, and restock medications as required. Regulatory Compliance: Perform duties in strict adherence to medical terminology, healthcare practices, and standard operating procedures. General Support: Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall workflow efficiency. Requirements & Qualifications Software Proficiency: Prior experience working with Framework software is required. Experience: Previous experience working within a Long Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy setting. Experience in an acute care or critical care environment is highly desirable. Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Training & Certification: Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program (or equivalent work experience) and a current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacy practices, and an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy in medication preparation. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to provide exceptional customer and patient service.
