Civil Aviation Engineer / PM

As a result, a full-time position is available for an Experienced Aviation Engineering Project Manager at our Dallas or San Antonio, TX office location.Responsibilities include:Serves as project manager and/or project engineer on complex projectsResearches and recommends advances in technical software and other new technology in the field to improve efficiencyProvides technical guidance to staff in area of expertiseWill serve as project manager and lead marketing pursuits, will act as client contactResponsible for schedules, work in progress, and timely completion of projectsCoordinates and approves pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projectsDevelops engineering agreements for their projects within the departmentResponsible for control of work-in-processAssists with contract administrationPrepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for projectsInstructs technicians to convert designs to working drawingsVisits construction sites to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documentsOther duties as assignedA valid driver's license and some travel will be required.The successful candidate will have:* A bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited college or university and at least twelve (12) years of experience* A PE license is required (Texas preferred or ability to obtain TX license within 6 months)The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:Experience leading aviation design and construction projectsExperience serving as the project manager on aviation projectsExperience mentoring and leading engineering project teamsConstruction management experienceExperience in contract administration scope and fee preparation/negotiationsExperience with Marketing and Business DevelopmentAutoCAD Civil 3D experienceAt Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
