Job Title: Physical Security Systems EngineerLocation: Upland, CA (Hybrid)Travel: up to 40% nationwideCompensation: $89,440-$135,000 (based on experience)Position SummaryClear Cloud Solutions is a fast-growing Security Systems Integration, Low Voltage, and Electrical Contracting company located in Southern California, specializing in Security Systems Integration, IP Video Surveillance, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Low Voltage Cabling, and Perimeter Security Systems in the commercial, industrial, and government sectors.Clear Cloud Solutions is seeking a Physical Security Systems Engineer to conduct programming, commissioning, and advanced troubleshooting of IP Video, Access Control, and enterprise electronic security systems.This role is responsible for head-end configuration, multi-platform system integration, technical escalation support, and continuous standards improvement. The ideal candidate can rapidly learn and operate across multiple access control and VMS platforms while ensuring system stability, cybersecurity alignment, and technical execution excellence.Core ResponsibilitiesHead-End Programming & CommissioningProgram, configure, and commission enterprise Access Control and VMS platformsIntegrate multi-site systems and complex database buildsConfigure user roles, partitions, policies, schedules, alarms, and reportingValidate firmware, patching, and cyber hardening alignmentPerform QA/QC of panel builds and head-end deploymentsAdvanced TroubleshootingProvide Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation support to field techniciansDiagnose database, firmware, controller, and integration-level issuesWork directly with manufacturer support to resolve escalated casesOpen and manage manufacturer tickets when requiredPerform forensic troubleshooting of intermittent system failuresEngineering & Standards ContributionContribute to system standards developmentProvide structured feedback to estimating and engineering teamsAssist in final BOM validation and gap analysisSupport RFI/RFP technical discoveryEnsure builds align with company cyber and deployment standardsField & Client InterfaceConduct site surveys for electronic security and low voltage systemsAttend project meetings when technical leadership is requiredTrain customers on commissioned systemsMentor technicians and junior engineersTechnical Requirements5+ years hands-on experience programming enterprise access control and VMS systemsProven experience commissioning head-end systemsStrong understanding of:TCP/IP networking fundamentalsVLANs and firewall basicsServer-client architecturesWindows Server environmentsSQL database fundamentalsExperience with system migrations and upgradesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specsAbility to pass federal background checkValid Driver’s LicenseMust Have Certifications/ExperienceGallagherAXISGenetecSoftware HousePreferred Certifications/ExperienceIdentiv, CCURE 9000, HID, Idemia, HirschMilestone, Avigilon, Verkada, Geutebruck, HanwhaBosch, DMPCybersecurity fundamentals trainingCSEIP or equivalentPerformance ExpectationsSuccess in this role is measured by:Reduction in repeat service callsFaster system commissioning timelinesImproved project margin through technical accuracyPositive post-project customer feedbackContinuous technical feedback to engineering and estimatingDemonstrated ability to master new systems rapidlyBehavioral ProfileWe are looking for someone who:Is willing and able to travel up to 40% nationwide; valid driver’s license and ability to fly as neededUnderstands system architecture and interdependencies across platformsDemonstrates strong technical self-sufficiency and initiativeCan troubleshoot under pressureCommunicates clearly with both technicians and executivesValues standards, documentation, and repeatabilityElevates the technical capability of the organizationBenefits401(k)Medical InsuranceLife InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid Time Off
