The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial carpentry, specializing in door installations, hardware, wood trim, framing, reading construction documents, and wood finishing. This position requires a professional who can deliver high-quality workmanship on time and within budget, ensuring that all aspects of the carpentry work meet or exceed industry standards. Hourly wages can vary and are based on the project scale. *Key Responsibilities:* · Install, repair, and replace doors, door frames, hardware, and fixtures in various historic buildings. · Measure, cut, and install various types of wood trim and moldings with precision. · Read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate work. · Construct and repair building frameworks and structures, including walls, floors, and doorframes, utilizing materials such as wood and metal. · Apply finishes to wood surfaces, including sealing, staining, and varnishing, ensuring high-quality appearance and durability. · Coordinate with project managers and other construction professionals to ensure project requirements are met and to resolve any issues related to carpentry work. · Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on the construction site, promoting a safe work environment. · Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition and stored properly. *Qualifications:* · Proven experience as a commercial carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years in the industry. · Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment, with a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods. · Excellent ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications. · Strong knowledge of safety regulations, and quality standards related to commercial carpentry. · Exceptional attention to detail and precision in woodwork and installation methods. · Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. · Physical stamina and dexterity, capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various conditions. · High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in carpentry or a related field is preferred. -Must be a US citizen · Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. *Why Join Us:* At JS Global, you’ll be part of a respected team that values your skills and dedication.
