This role plays a key role across JT's municipal, transportation, and site development groups.Visit our website to learn about our people, culture, and community impact.Job ResponsibilitiesApply your structural engineering knowledge to complete project tasks under the guidance of senior staffLead the structural design of projects from concept through constructionMentor junior staff and performing quality control reviews of structural deliverablesCollaborate effectively with colleagues while embracing JT's values and positive cultureDevelop working relationships with clients and stakeholdersCommunicate clearly and professionally with internal and external project teamsDeliver high-quality work that meets established standards and expectationsSupport the development and management of project budgets and timelinesAdhere to internal Quality Control processes to ensure accuracy and complianceJob RequirementsA Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university5+ years of relevant experience (preferred)Engineer In Training (EIT) Certification (preferred), working towards obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) LicenseExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, RISA, LEAP Bridge, MDX, and other comparable structural design softwareFamiliarity with WisDOT, AASTHO, ASCE, NDS, AISC, and other structural design codes (preferred)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsTechnical competence to perform project tasks independentlyKnowledge of client and internal software required to complete projectsA valid driver's license and reliable transportation to worksites, meetings with clients, and attend conferencesTo be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is locatedTo occasionally travel out-of-town and overnight for professional development and/or project-related workLife at JT: The Benefits and PerksAt JT, we offer more than just a job - we provide a thriving workplace culture and exceptional benefits.
