This role will primarily focus on developing and deploying advanced analytics to create and monitor statistical models, identifying areas for improvement and deeper, root-cause analysis. The activities include building historical baselines, calculating baseline forecasts, working with the commercial team to establish incremental forecasts for promotions, and other marketing events; as well as build assumption-based projections for new product launches or product extensions.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage the end to end Sales & Operations Planning process for key suppliers in our dedicated divisions across multiple statesReview historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.Lead the monthly forecast collaboration meetings with commercial counterparts. Review prior month’s forecast accuracy and assess rolling 4-12 months forward forecastResponsible for monitoring aggregate level forecast comparisons to stay aligned with commercial plans by state and reconcile when neededPrepare and monitor forecast KPI's on a monthly and quarterly basis, taking corrective actions as necessaryAnalyzing actual demand and emerging trends in comparison to forecasts.Develop and maintain very strong relationships with commercial team through excellent listening and communication skills to ensure an effective demand forecasting processCommunicate with supply planning to provide information on daily/ weekly changes to demandCollaborate with the leadership team to implement process improvementsAdditional Primary ResponsibilitiesMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree required At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, Business Planning or Statistical Modelling Knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain concepts and methods and understanding of interdependencies between demand, supply, and operationsProficient in the use of MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with Excel-based modellingPrevious experience with the JDA statistical forecasting software or similar planning software and a working understanding of statistical modelling is a requirementAbility to think critically, manage without authority and multitask in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work collaboratively across functions, including with Commercial Leadership to present analyses, challenge thinking and influence outcomesSome travel required, typically up to 4 times per yearPhysical DemandsPhysical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile devicePhysical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stoopingMay require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbsEEO StatementSouthern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
