More information at: www.beyondgravity.comYour MissionThe Associate Manufacturing Engineer supports the application and development of manufacturing processes at Beyond Gravity, particularly for composite structures including payload fairings, interstage adapters, and similar hardware. They contribute to production while building key competencies in hands-on fabrication, tooling, and process execution. This is a temporary summer position.Your StoryEducation & ExperienceCurrent college student enrolled in an engineering program.Technical Skills & KnowledgeEntry Level Manufacturing Knowledge in:Composite structures (especially CFRP): layup, curing, trimming, bonding, and assemblyMetallic and non-metallic fabrication processesSurface treatments and bonding/joining of structural componentsFamiliarity with aerospace products such as payload fairings, interstage adapters, and payload attach fittingsAwareness of manufacturing and inspection processesAbility to perform root cause analysisAbility to draft technical documentationAbility to update manufacturing work instructionsSoft Skills & Work EthicDeveloped interpersonal skillsProject planning capabilitiesWillingness to learn and a drive to succeedEntry-level responsibility for production support, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaborationNice-to-HavesIndustry KnowledgeKnowledge of the aerospace or spaceflight manufacturing industryFamiliarity with AS9100 standardsTechnical EnhancementsKnowledge of sandwich structure assembly techniquesHands-on experience with CFRP tooling and processingExperience with CAD tools and documentation best practicesExposure to continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma)🌌Are you ready for lift-off?
