Due to the nature of work performed, U.S. citizenship is required.Position OverviewThe PCS Test & Integration Engineer will support testing and validation of the Payload Control System (PCS), a critical subsystem within advanced defense platforms. This role supports system integration, verification, troubleshooting, and validation of hardware and software components to ensure operational effectiveness within larger defense architectures.This position requires hands-on system-level testing experience, strong analytical capability, and familiarity with defense system integration environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute PCS test plans, procedures, and validation activitiesPerform hardware and software integration testing within larger system environmentsTroubleshoot and debug system-level issuesCollaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and test teams to ensure full test coverageDocument results, generate reports, and communicate findings to stakeholdersEnsure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and QA processesSupport field testing and validation as requiredDevelop test and diagnostic programs, fixtures, and equipmentExecute functional, environmental, operational, and performance testingRequired QualificationsExperience in system testing and validation (defense or aerospace preferred)Familiarity with Payload Control Systems and subsystem integrationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentExperience generating system test work products using established processes and standardsDesired SkillsExperience with advanced defense systemsKnowledge of payload integration within larger combat systemsProficiency with DOORs, automated testing tools, and scripting languagesWhat You Bring to the TableIn-depth technical knowledge within a specific engineering disciplineExperience setting up, monitoring, and documenting experiments or lab equipmentStrong understanding of Navy maintenance procedures, particularly combat systemsAbility to propose process improvements and optimize solutionsWhat Sets You ApartFormer U.S. Navy Fire Control Technician (FT)Experience on Virginia, Seawolf, Ohio, or 688-class submarinesExperience with BYG-1, SWFTS, CIS, or CCE systemsStrong multitasking and creative problem-solving abilitiesCommitment to professional growthTeam-oriented mindsetWhy Join CPI?For over 40 years, Contract Professionals, Inc.
