Packaging Operator The Packaging Operator is responsible for inspecting and packaging various shapes of metal preforms or stampings into designated containers according to customer requirements. This role requires careful attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and accurate data entry. The Packaging Operator will perform visual inspections, reject nonconforming parts, and maintain a clean and organized work area. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members and follow established procedures to ensure product quality and compliance.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Inspect, weigh, and package extremely small thin parts.Perform visual inspections on parts prior to packing and reject nonconforming parts following established procedures.Perform screening as required.Package products according to customer requirements as shown on the picklist and apply labels as instructed to packages.Accurately collect and input data into the computer system.Maintain cleanliness of work area and assigned equipment.Follow all safety guidelines and wear proper PPE when in the manufacturing area.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required:Safety conscious with excellent verbal and written communication skills and good mathematical aptitude.Ability to grasp and handle products ranging from extremely small to large.Basic computer skills required; must be able to make computer transactions into the ERP system.Must be able to perform duties without external distractions, such as mobile phones and personal electronic devices.Ability to use a microscope, magnifying lens, tweezers, and other hand tools as assigned.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and anything heavier with assistance or hand tools.Education, Experience, and Training:High School Diploma or GED required.Compensation:Employee Type: HourlySalary Minimum: $35,000Salary Maximum: $45,000Incentive: NoAMETEK is committed to making a safer, sustainable, and more productive world a reality.
