Staff Geotechnical EngineerEssential Duties and Responsibilities:We are seeking a motivated Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for both new graduates and early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering through fieldwork, analysis, and collaboration on a variety of earthwork and infrastructure projects.Responsibilities:·      Gain practical experience in geotechnical design and analysis through field investigations and project collaboration.·      Depending on your level of experience, perform geotechnical-related testing and site assessments, and observe active construction projects.·      Assist in preparing proposals, conducting site visits, and drafting technical reports for a range of clients.·      Conduct field investigations and explorations on local and remove project sites.·      Support senior engineers with routine engineering tasks, proposal writing, site walkthroughs, and report development.·      As you gain local knowledge and experience, you’ll contribute to higher-level geotechnical analyses and construction oversight.What to Expect:A significant portion of your time will be spent in the field, working on projects of all sizes.Fieldwork will provide you with valuable insights into soil behavior, subsurface conditions, and construction practices that directly impact geotechnical design.This role offers excellent growth potential and the opportunity to work on challenging, meaningful projects that shape our built environment.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.Master of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred but not required.Two to four years of related experience preferred but not required.Thorough knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles.Self-driven, a fast learner, and motivated with a strong desire to learn engineering skills related to geotechnical engineering.Project Management experience/exposure.Strong organizational skills.Professional-level verbal and written communication skills.Ability to successfully work within a team.Proficient in Word, Outlook, and ExcelUnderstanding of or experience with geotechnical analysis programs preferred.The ability to perform varying degrees of field work.Valid driver's license.Both in-state and out-of-state travel opportunities involved.To learn more about Central Engineering Services and who we are as a team, please visit www.centralengr.com.
