CNC Machinist Responsibilities:Set up, Operate, and Maintain Precision Equipment (drills, lathes, and mills) for accurate product manufacturingProgram precision equipment according to per-job specificationsGet information from all relevant sources and apply the latest knowledge to the work.Perform inspections of equipment, materials, and products.Analyze information and find the best solutions to problems.Maintain clear and honest communication at all times.Keep the work environment safe.CNC Machinist SkillsUnderstands the operations of drills, lathes, and milling equipment.Problem Solving Skills: Know why machines aren't at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.Attention to Detail: work with precision equipment, measurements have tight tolerances. Being off could be a critical error.Mechanical and Technical skills: Machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand CAD/CAM tech.Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
