Since its founding in 2017, Prometheum has leveraged its deep expertise in securities law, blockchain and trading to create a compliant ecosystem for digital asset securities that enables all investors to seamlessly invest in digital assets securities. Role:-
Senior Operations Associate - Full Time W2
Location:- New York City, NY (Hybrid)
Salary:- $110,000 - $140,000
Responsibilities:-
Operations associates are our front line:-
The Senior Associate is responsible for daily oversight of the back office operations functions, including ensuring adherence to Key Performance Metrics. ;
Engage in daily operations with service providers and internal departments.
Review, collect and document Reporting and Reconciliation deliverables covering Purchase and Sales, Corporate Actions (Dividends, Re-organizations), Suspense, etc.
Monitor, analyze, and resolve, balance or position differences and respond to internal and external inquiries. .
Communicating Reorg and Dividend event details (includes event specifics and allocations where needed). Ensure that allocations are accurate and resolve any discrepancies.
Completing Daily Checklist for supervisory review and sign off.
Evaluate trade exceptions, complex shareholder issues, and track recurring trends for management review.
Review daily deliverables and analyze for root-cause of exceptions; ensure remediation of issues.
Manage escalated issues from internal & external stakeholders
Evaluate performance by monitoring KPIs; ensure service provider adheres to all contractual policies, procedures, and controls through review of contractual Service Level Agreements
Contribute to the development of, and ensure timely performance of, operating controls.
Facilitate change service requests; determine appropriate action and document/recommend detailed business requirements for the completion of these requests.
Support multi-service lines of business projects that streamline processes and procedures for internal/external back or middle office workflow; work with senior management to implement process enhancements.
Review and/or draft operational desktop procedures and policies
This position will materially contribute to product and project implementation initiatives and the future growth of the organization; Leverage knowledge of global products and industry best practices to:
Provide insight into the operational infrastructure and vendor set-up/governance requirements to implement globally consistent operational models.
Assist with specialized projects that impact multiple internal departments; serve as key internal and external operational contact keeping management informed of project progress
Provide business analysis for Operations-owned initiatives and serve as liaison with IT on both Operations and firmwide initiatives
Assist in the creation of technical business requirements in driving operational efficiencies, mitigating risk/errors, leveraging technology, implementing industry best practices, monitoring contractual risk, and enhancing the client experience
Review existing operational processes, identify automation and outsourcing opportunities, and evaluate process improvements to align with global standards, while being cognizant of regional nuances
Qualifications:-
FINRA Series 7 and 99
FINRA Series 27 and/or supervisory experience is a plus as the role will grow to incorporate supervisory duties
Experience working with compliance on FINRA (regulatory) inquiries.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office applications, or Google equivalent.
Intermediate to advanced understanding of Broker-Dealer back office functions and associated regulatory requirements
Experience reviewing operational reporting (e.g. stock record, 15c3-3 excess/deficit and allocation, suspense, cash reconciliations) and identifying/resolving associated issues
Experience organizing and maintaining business records
Experience with Shadow Suite is a plus
Experience and/or in-depth understanding of Digital Assets a plus
