Commercial Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with electrical wiring, schematics, and high and low voltage systems, ensuring safety and compliance with NEC standards. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately. Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues. Confidence in installing electrical conduit such as EMT, Rigid, and PVC Follow NEC codes and safety standards to ensure all work complies with local regulations. Assist in renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure. Collaborate with construction teams and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe work environment on-site while adhering to all safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician with 2-5 years of electrical experience. Strong background in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical system design. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices. Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects is highly desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Valid electrician’s license or certification preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting electrical issues. Physical ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
