This role ensures that public spaces are clean and inviting while assisting with guestroom support tasks such as linen distribution, trash removal, and laundry delivery. Guided by the McKibbon Principles, the Houseperson provides helpful, dependable service that leaves a lasting impression.A Day in the LifeClean hallways, bathroom, windows, and common areas of the hotelStock linens and supplies for Room AttendantsAssist with laundry and trash removalIdentify cleaning and organization tasks necessary for effective and efficient cleaningProvide friendly, guest-focused servicePublic AreasVacuum, sweep, and mop floorsDust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and surfacesClean windows, mirrors, and glass doorsDisinfect high-touch areas (door handles, elevator buttons, railings)Spot-clean walls, carpets, and upholsteryEmpty trash bins and replace linersRestrooms & Guest AreasSanitize toilets, sinks, and countersRefill soap, sanitizer, and paper productsMop floors and check for spills or hazardsBack-of-House AreasKeep storage rooms, closets, and laundry areas tidyEnsure trash and recycling are removed regularlyOrganization TasksStock linen closets with fresh sheets, towels, and amenitiesOrganize housekeeping carts for efficient guestroom serviceRotate linens and supplies to ensure older stock is used firstTrack and report low inventory levelsCollect and transport soiled linens from hallways to laundryKeep hallways clear of trash, linens, and obstaclesDeliver requested items (extra towels, pillows, etc.) promptlyMaintain orderly storage areas to prevent clutterFollow cleaning checklists to ensure consistencyJob Requirements:Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience a plusGreat customer service and communication skillsEmbrace the McKibbon Guiding PrinciplesCourteous friendly demeanor to guests, clients and fellow associatesAbility to work weekends and holidaysMust be 18+ and able to lift at least 20 lbs.Ability to work independently in an evening or overnight shift.Embrace the McKibbon Guiding Principles: Think Bigger, Love Your Community, Do the Right Thing, Support Each Other, Make a Lasting Impression.Why McKibbon?We believe in our Guiding Principles: Think Bigger.
