Hydraulic Technician / PTO Specialist

Sadler Power Train is a leading distributor of truck parts specializing in light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks. We are headquartered in Cedar Rapids, IA with branches in Davenport, Dubuque and Waterloo.We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician / PTO Specialist to join our team in our Cedar Rapids location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic systems and a passion for designing, troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic components. This role involves designing hydraulic systems per customer specifications, diagnosing issues, disassembling hydraulic units, and rebuilding them to ensure optimal performance. 1st Shift Hours in a climate controlled environment.Sadler Power Train is looking for individuals who possess:High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in hydraulics or related field preferred.Proven experience as a hydraulic technician or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Your Responsibilities:Develop and analyze hydraulic systems and components, including pumps, valves, and actuators per customer specifications.Diagnose hydraulic system failures and malfunctions.Identify issues with PTO systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements of components.Conduct regular maintenance on PTO systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Disassemble hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, and cylinders.Inspect parts for wear, damage, and defects.Clean and restore hydraulic components to manufacturer specifications.Rebuild hydraulic systems and ensure proper assembly and functionality.Ability to build custom hydraulic hoses.Perform quality checks and testing on rebuilt units.Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.Sadler Power Train offers:Competitive Hourly wagesMedical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug plansWellness Program401K retirement plan with up to a 5% Company MatchCafeteria 125 Flex Spending PlanPaid Time Off8 Paid HolidaysCompany uniforms and work shoe programCompany paid Basic Life Insurance policy, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.Supplemental Policies availableTraining and continuing education opportunitiesPre-employment physical and drug screen are required.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceCompany DescriptionSadler Power Train has been providing exceptional service and high-quality, brand name truck parts and service for over 50 years.
