The engineer will be responsible for deploying and configuring network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and related security appliances, according to client requirements and best practices. Daily tasks include implementing security policies, monitoring and troubleshooting network security incidents, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and reliable connectivity. The role involves documenting deployment procedures, maintaining configuration standards, and assisting with security audits and compliance checks. The engineer will also provide technical support during cutovers and upgrades, and contribute to continuous improvement of security architectures and processes.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in network security deployment, including configuration of firewalls, VPNs, and secure routing/switching.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, network segmentation, access control, and intrusion detection/prevention concepts.Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar) is beneficial.Proficiency with network and security management tools (for example, monitoring, logging, and configuration management platforms).Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical procedures and collaborate with stakeholders.Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time across on-site and remote tasks, and handle multiple concurrent projects.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Relevant industry certifications (such as CCNA/CCNP, Security+, CISSP, or vendor-specific security certifications) are a plus.
