Job Summary Welcome to The Front Yard Restaurant in Ogunquit, Maine! We are open March-November. As we begin our 2026 season, we are seeking seeking a friendly and organized Restaurant Host to join our team! We seek to provide an exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to manage seating arrangements efficiently. This is can be a part time or full time position. Pay is $21/hour. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Restuarant experience is a plus, but not required - we are happy to train the right person! Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with accurate wait times. Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort. Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with reservations and inquiries. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Assist guests with any special requests or needs, demonstrating a commitment to guest services. Utilize POS systems for reservations and tracking guest preferences when necessary. Handle any guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively. Experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Experience in restaurant settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
