Estimator - Industrial Insulation

Position Title: Estimator - Industrial Insulation & Coatings/Paint Position Reports To: Regional Manager, Central Estimating Position Summary Estimators are responsible for all aspects of bidding a project including labor, time and materials requirements to determine overall cost of projects. This role is responsible for increasing profitability through comprehensive cost estimating. Essential Functions Interpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project and prepare estimates and bid proposals. Estimate majority of the work applicable to the respective region or business line, including, target projects and owners list, and managing bid flow. Reading and interpreting sophisticated specs and drawings. Using formulas and making calculations. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience 5+ years of industrial services experience preferred 5+ years of experience reading isometric drawings 1+ years of experience estimating industrial services lines of business High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work unit rates for different projects Ability to understand and create staffing plans Ability to preform a detailed manual/digital take off. Knowledgeable in Cryogenic Insulation applications. Understand Productivity Factors related to different types of materials. Piping and Equipment insulation. Experience creating and revising Proposals Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team initiatives Knowledge in safety procedure implementation is a plus Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and competing priorities Effective communication, strong critical thinking skills and high attention to detail Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines Critical in managing the business and identifying problems or opportunities Demonstrates ability to be flexible and quickly adaptable to changing conditions across all spectrums Creative and innovative approaches and solutions on a project-by-project basis Effective participation in team environment, with both external and internal teammates Work Conditions/Physical Demands Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods Light work that includes moving objects up to twenty pounds No adverse environmental conditions expected Ability to attend job walks, when required Less than 20% travel Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Application Question(s): How many years of unit rate estimation experience do you have in industrial insulation or coatings projects?
