Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of spider wiring harnesses for autonomous vehicle systemsCreate and release 2D/3D harness drawings, schematics, and documentationDefine and manage harness architecture, routing, packaging, and integration within vehicle platformsSupport prototype builds, first-article development, and iterative design improvementsPlan and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP) and validation testing (DVPR)Ensure compliance with automotive standards, quality, and safety requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturingWork on vehicle networking systems (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet) and signal integritySupport transition from prototype to production, including supplier interaction and manufacturing readinessTroubleshoot and resolve integration and field issues related to harness systemsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in automotive wiring harness design and developmentStrong experience with harness design tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, Capital Harness, Zuken, VeSys, Creo)Hands-on experience with DVP/DVPR, validation testing, and prototype buildsSolid understanding of vehicle electrical architecture (HV/LV systems)Experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)Proven ability to work across the full product lifecycle (concept to production)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred Qualifications:Experience working on autonomous vehicles, ADAS systems, or sensor integration (LiDAR, radar, cameras)Knowledge of ECU integration and high-speed data systemsExposure to off-road, EV, or multi-platform vehicle developmentPrior experience in scaling harness designs for production environments
