Software Solutions Engineer
Solutions Engineer are responsible for the designs, applications and specifications of Software (Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)/ Warehouse Management System(WMS)) designs during the pre-sales phase of a project. This position plays a key role within the pre-sales process and works closely with internal teams, vendors, and Trew's Market Partners to design creative, robust, software solutions that meet or exceed customer specifications for a winning solution. This position identifies project resources along with software and operational requirements for the scope of work that has been developed and generates estimates for the cost of labor, material, and equipment. Finally, this position will lead the development on the next generation of logistics tools to drive efficiency and automation of tasks / processes / workflows within the presale organization.This job is for you if…Enjoy being part of the sales processDocuments customer’s requirements as they relate to the material handling solutions being developed.Thrive on creating solutions for complex operations and next generation of material handling solutions.You are looking to lead and establish new and exciting system development toolsLove communicating with internal and external partnersYou’ll be…Assisting the sales team in managing pre-sales software estimatesReviewing proposal specifications as well as attending pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and operational requirements.Developing estimates for engineering hours, hardware and subcontracted servicesConducting concept review meetings as required with Trew software team.Assisting in preparing sales proposals, documentation, operational flows and customer presentationSupporting customer sales presentationsReviewing many factors and uses judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate actionsReporting proposal status to managementMeeting with customers to discover project requirementsManaging as-sold documentation and delivery to the project teamMentoring less experienced engineers on industry and technical knowledgeWhat You’ll Need…BSI, BSEE, BSME, BSCS degree or equivalent combination of experience and education3 or more years of experience in the warehouse and material handling system software sector.Extensive knowledge of WCS/WMS as it relates to the Material Handling systems and operations.Excellent client follow through skillsAbility to prioritize and multitask in fast paced and high-volume environmentMicrosoft Office, Visual BasicPerform system audit on existing material handling operations.TREW’s story:Business gets done working together.
