Controller
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing and budget management functions. Accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls
Prepare budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data, recommends corporate strategies to accomplish this function.
Coordinate budget, planning, forecasting and cost management processes to ensure alignment with the company's strategic plan and objectives
Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, analyzing and summarizing financial data; reporting information and trends to senior management.
Responsible for all aspects of Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Fixed Asset Reporting and Control, Cost Accounting, Internal and External Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial Controls, Tax and Audit
Ensure healthy cash flow through driving net working capital and monitoring net liquidity. Ensures effective management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Lead tax compliance and planning
Design, implement, and maintain oversight of financial policy and procedures
Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Minimum ten years of relevant accounting/financial management experience
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, federal and state financial regulations, ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting
Advanced level proficiency with MS Office applications
Familiarity with Next Generation ERP software
Strong analytical skills - quantitative and qualitative analysis; ability to identify significant factors of an issue; employ creativity in identifying causes; implications and remedies
Excellent communication skills - effective and efficient oral and written communication; ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Technical, human, conceptual management skills
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university or eight to ten year’s related experience and/or training
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
