Job Summary The Director of Corporate Finance is a senior leader within the Vinik Sports Group Finance organization serving as the lead for the Finance function. This role is responsible for driving financial planning, performance management, and strategic analysis to support informed decision-making and achievement of long-term business objectives. The Director will oversee core financial processes including forecasting, reporting, cash management, and performance analysis while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement. This individual will play a critical role in shaping financial insights across multiple lines of business and providing clear, actionable recommendation to senior leadership. A key responsibility of this role is leading and developing the Finance team. The Director will actively mentor and coach team members. This individual will ensure the team is well-structured, empowered, and equipped to deliver high-quality insights while building a strong pipeline for future talent. They will champion operational excellence by driving process improvements and leveraging systems such as Oracle EPM to enhance reporting capabilities, scalability, and efficiency. In a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on prioritization, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving. strengthen financial discipline and innovation throughout the organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead all financial planning and analysis activities, including annual budgeting, long-range planning, and periodic forecasting cyclesOversee financial reporting and performance analysis, delivering clear, accurate, and actionable insights to support executive decision-makingServe as strategic business partner to senior leadership, providing financial guidance, challenging assumptions, and influencing key business decisionsManage and optimize cash flow planning and liquidity management to ensure financial stability and operational readinessDrive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the Finance function, enhancing accuracy, timeliness, and scalabilityLead the continued development and utilization of financial systems (e.g., Oracle EPM) to improve forecasting, reporting, and data accessibilityWork with Accounting to ensure accurate financials and support preparation of monthly reporting packages and financial analytics for senior management, executives, and ownership presentationsSupport the annual auditsCollaborate with NHL on various topicsLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, including coaching junior staff and supporting leadership developmentPromote culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and financial discipline across the organizationPerform special projects, as needed Supervisory & Management Responsibilities Direct managerial responsibilities Game/Event Responsibilities Game/Event Night responsibilities: limitedApproximate number of events worked per year: 7-10Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, MBA or CFA preferred7-10 years of progressive professional experience; 2-4 years of direct people management experienceAdvanced technical Excel skills and strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office softwareExperience working with multi-dimensional database technology (Oracle EPM or equivalent technology) requiredStrong technical skills and thorough understanding of professional finance and accounting terminology and techniquesStrong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insightsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely with executive audiences, including presenting financial results, recommendations, and key insightsDemonstrated ability to lead and develop peopleHigh level of professional maturity, integrity, and accountability, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindsetStrong attention to detail, excellent planning skills, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentWorking Conditions Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distractingThis is an onsite role; flexibility to work a minority of time remotely.Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as neededAbility to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperaturesAbility to commute/travel within the Greater Tampa Area and the US for up to one-week at a time We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
