Senior Software Engineer/Developer - Contract
We are seeking a Software Developer/Engineer to join a growing engineering and software team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on software development, problem-solving, and collaborating with both internal teams and external customers.
The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of software applications used in industrial and commercial environments.
Responsibilities
Analyze user requirements and technical specifications
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications
Review and improve existing code bases
Develop web-based applications and user interfaces
Collaborate with engineering, project, and customer teams
Support software deployment and troubleshooting efforts
Participate in customer meetings and occasional industry events
Manage project priorities while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
Travel to customer sites as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Mechatronics, or related technical field
5+ years of software development experience
Strong experience with:
C#
.NET
SQL Server
HTML
ASP.NET
APIs
WinForms
Experience developing web-based applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Python development experience
Exposure to SCADA platforms such as Ignition or similar systems
Mobile application development (iOS and Android)
UI/UX development experience
Strong mathematical, logic, or algorithm development background
