Job Description For Outside Sales Representative - Automation, MeasurementPro-Tek Field Services, Odessa, Tx & Carlsbad, NMThe Outside Sales Representative Is Responsible ForPrimary customer interface, providing details of Pro-Tek’s services and solutions to customersDevelop new customers while expanding established accountsWork independently to schedule 5 to 7 customer meetings weekly (remote or in person)Prepare and maintain business plan to meet Pro-Tek sales targets and business objectivesAbility to create estimates and proposalsPresent to clients while effectively articulating the specificsWork closely with clients to provide custom solutions to meet desired specifications for automation and measurement applicationsStay up to date with industry trends as it relates to customer requirements, opportunities and timelinesKnowledge of instrumentation and measurement productsBuild long‐term partnerships with senior management for key customer accounts along with developing a complete understanding of organizational structures and key buying influencesQualifications & Required SkillsBS in Engineering/ Marketing preferred but not required3+ years of sales experience in industrial automation and gas measurement2+ years of experience within the upstream, midstream, and/or downstream markets with a focus on electrical, automation, measurement & controlsAbility to walk down potential project sites with ability to build project estimates for Automation/Measurement projectsStrong familiarity with the following OEM control system platforms :Rockwell Automation products (PlantPAX, Factory Talk SE, Logix PLC hardware)Endress+Hauser instrumentation/ products experience a major plusEmerson, Fisher ROC, Flow Boss, Rosemount end devices, DeltaV platformABB Products, to include Total Flows, the RMC-100, and various other ABB end devicesTrack record of winning new business as well as a portfolio of existing clients and decision makersExperience working for a control systems integrator or vendor in the O&G industry is a plusStrong business development skillsAbility to work remotely and independentlyStrong communication and presentation skills requiredPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.Able to work in close quarters i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex eye protection, footwear, Nomex).The employee frequently is required to stand; sit; walk; climb, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
