General Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead and oversee field operations across multiple site development projects. This role leads Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews while promoting operational efficiency, workforce development, and company core values.Qualifications10+ years of experience in site development or heavy civil construction5+ years in a senior leadership role (Senior Superintendent or equivalent)Strong knowledge of grading, utilities, earthwork, storm drainage, and site infrastructureProven ability to manage multiple projects and large field teams simultaneouslyStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedulesProficient in construction management software and reporting toolsOSHA 30 (or ability to obtain) preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusValid driver's license and willingness to travel between job sitesKey ResponsibilitiesField Operations OversightManage multiple active job sites including grading, utilities, excavation, paving, and stormwater systemsEnsure work aligns with plans, specifications, and schedulesPartner with Project Managers to align field production with budgets and timelinesIdentify and resolve field challenges proactivelyLeadership & Team DevelopmentSupervise, mentor, and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnelEstablish clear expectations for productivity, accountability, and professionalismPromote a strong safety culture and positive work environmentAssist in workforce planning, hiring, and performance managementSafety & ComplianceEnforce company safety policies and OSHA regulationsConduct jobsite audits, safety meetings, and inspectionsDrive incident prevention and ensure proper documentationScheduling & ProductivityOversee project schedules and sequencing across multiple crews and projectsMonitor production rates and adjust manpower and equipment as neededCoordinate with equipment teams to ensure proper utilizationQuality ControlEnsure all work meets or exceeds project specifications and standardsConduct routine inspections and address deficiencies promptlyClient & Stakeholder CoordinationMaintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, inspectors, and subcontractorsAttend project meetings and represent the company professionallyEnsure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and executionPosition Requirements and SkillsAmbitious, self-motivated, and results-driven with an ownership mindsetProfessional in attitude and appearanceAbility to connect and communicate effectively with a wide range of personalitiesStrong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management and ability to meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills across all levelsProficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google WorkspaceAbility to work independently while leading teams effectivelyComfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentDependable, safety-oriented, and team-focusedWillingness to work nights and weekends as neededStrong customer service mindset and relationship management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and drive tasks to completionPositive, resourceful, and "can-do" attitudeAbility to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checkJ-18808-Ljbffr
