Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 05/11/2026 Duration: 8 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant. You will provide home health visits under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, carrying out treatment, documentation, and patient status reporting according to physician orders. Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and agency-required liability insurance are required for travel between patient homes. A recruiter will follow up with details. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or equivalent from an accredited educational program. Active PTA license in the state of practice is required to start the assignment. State licensure and supervision requirements must be met for home health practice. Current CPR/BLS certification. Minimum 2-3 years of PTA experience preferred for home health caseload responsibilities, where state or client requires this level of experience. Proven ability to perform home visits and manage a home health caseload under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Familiarity with basic computer functions including email, internet navigation, online training platforms, and use of user names/passwords for electronic systems. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required. Agency-required liability insurance required. Must meet any applicable state-specific PTA requirements (licensure, certification, or examination) for the state where assignment occurs. Assignment Details Facility Type: Home Health. Shift Name: Evenings. Shift Pattern: 5x8. Work Setting: Home visits with periodic office meetings. Location Highlights Explore Bryan, TX and nearby attractions during your assignment. Houston and Austin are each approximately 2.5 to 3 hours by car, providing access to major airports and extended weekend travel options.
