This is a full-time position that will support three multi-family apartment complexes within the Vail area.The Assistant Property Manager supports the daily operations of a multifamily Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) property. This role is responsible for assisting with leasing, compliance, resident relations, and financial administration while ensuring adherence to LIHTC regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in affordable housing compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Resident RelationsAssist with leasing activities including tours, application processing, and lease executionProvide excellent customer service to current and prospective residentsRespond to resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely mannerMaintain positive resident relations and support community engagement effortsLIHTC ComplianceProcess income certifications, recertifications, and interim certifications in compliance with LIHTC guidelinesEnsure all applicant and resident files are complete, accurate, and audit-readyMaintain thorough knowledge of LIHTC regulations and stay current with program updatesCoordinate with compliance teams and prepare for audits and inspectionsFinancial & Administrative DutiesAssist with rent collection, posting, and delinquency managementPrepare notices (late rent, lease violations, etc.) in accordance with policiesSupport budgeting, reporting, and accounts payable/receivable functionsMaintain accurate records in property management software systemsOperations SupportWork closely with the Property Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operationsCoordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely unit turns and service completionConduct unit inspections and assist with move-in/move-out proceduresEnsure the property complies with all safety, fair housing, and company standardsQualifications1–3 years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing or LIHTCKnowledge of LIHTC compliance requirements strongly preferredFamiliarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi)Strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business or related field preferredCertifications (Preferred but not required)LIHTC Certification (e.g., HCCP, C3P, or equivalent)Fair Housing certificationPhysical RequirementsAbility to walk the property, including stairsAbility to lift up to 25 lbs occasionallyCompensation$29-$31 per hourWork EnvironmentOn-site role at a multifamily residential communityMonday - Friday
