Centennial, CO, USA | Hudspeth Inc. | Hourly | 30.00-40.00 per hour Pay per hour depending on experience, certifications, and project assignment. | Full TimeHudspeth is seeking experienced and dependable Lead Scaffold Builders to support commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Colorado. This is a working lead position responsible for guiding scaffold crews while actively performing scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling in the field.The Lead Scaffold Builder plays a critical role in maintaining productivity, safety, and quality while serving as the direct link between field crews and the Scaffold Supervisor. Candidates must be comfortable leading by example, working on the tools daily, and maintaining a strong safety-first mindset in demanding construction environments.Essential ResponsibilitiesLead scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling activities in the fieldPerform hands-on scaffold work daily, including assembling and installing scaffold componentsDirect crew members while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standardsInstall frames, braces, planking, guardrails, access systems, and related scaffold componentsRead and follow scaffold layouts, drawings, and work instructionsAssist with tying scaffolds to structures and ensuring stability and load complianceMonitor crew performance and ensure work is completed correctly and efficientlyCommunicate daily with the Scaffold Supervisor regarding progress, material needs, and job site concernsMaintain organized staging areas and clean work environmentsAssist with loading, unloading, and tracking scaffold materialsQualificationsMinimum 2 years of scaffolding experiencePrevious experience leading scaffold crews or acting as a lead on projectsStrong knowledge of frame scaffolds, rolling scaffolds, and system scaffoldsOSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification requiredFall Protection training requiredAbility to meet site-specific safety requirementsAbility to lift 50+ pounds regularlyAbility to work at heights and in varying weather conditionsAbility to stand, climb, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workdayPreferred QualificationsOSHA 30-Hour CertificationScaffold Erector/User trainingExperience with engineered scaffold systems and drawingsIndustrial plant, refinery, or large commercial project experienceBilingual English/Spanish skillsLeadership ExpectationsLead by example through work ethic, safety practices, and accountabilityMaintain productivity while working alongside the crewProvide clear direction and support to team membersIdentify and help resolve field issues quickly and effectivelySupport a safe, organized, and team-focused work environmentWhy Join HudspethCompetitive compensationOpportunities for advancement and leadership growthSafety-focused cultureTeam-oriented work environmentConsistent project opportunities throughout ColoradoOpportunity to work on commercial and industrial construction projectsHiring ProcessQualified candidates may be contacted for an interview and may be required to complete safety onboarding and site-specific orientation prior to beginning work.Hudspeth is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to maintaining a safe, productive, and inclusive workplace.
