Electrical Engineers play a crucial role in designing and electrical systems for equipment used in manufacturing welding machines and consumables, ensuring that the production floor equipment adheres to corporate objectives related to safety, health, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.Requirements and QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of professional experienceExperience with AutoCAD Electrical CAD softwareExperience with PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, and test equipment, including Rockwell Automation software, Siemens software, and National Instruments, LabVIEWKnowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 79, and other technical codesKnowledge of basic networking concepts and SQL DatabaseDemonstrate initiative and accept responsibilities with minimal supervisionStrong ownership and results-driven mindsetGood judgement, self-motivation, and safety consciousnessExcellent organizational skillsSuperior written and oral communication abilitiesAdaptability to handle diverse assignments and changing prioritiesHands-on work capability and effective collaboration on the shop floorCritical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skillsProficiency in supporting and troubleshooting industrial equipmentFlexibility to work off shifts, travel between NEO facilities, and travel as requiredDuties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate in a team environment to design and support industrial electrical systems, including various types of new and legacy technology and equipmentEngineer solutions to improve equipment reliability, safety, ergonomics, and compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 450001, and other EHS initiativesProvide technical support to Production, Maintenance, and IT departments, reducing downtime and improving system performanceDevelop, design, and update PLC, VFD, and HMI programs using various control automation platforms, including Rockwell, Siemens, and BeijerUpdate and maintain National Instruments LabVIEW code for testing and applications and equipmentInterface with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, IT, MES and Production teams to support facility projectsApply NEC knowledge for planning industrial equipment installations and work with electricians to update documentationApply NEC knowledge for planning industrial equipment installations and work with electricians to update documentationSupply project leaders with capital cost estimates and timelines, and review capital equipment quotationsLead projects or project steps, solve complex problems, and act as a resource for colleagues with less experienceManage outside engineering and construction personnel, ensuring all EHS compliance meets regulationsIntegrate equipment into data collection systems and establish network topologiesSupport network backup, device patching management, and control system asset inventoryCompile data from connected devices for organizational use and develop standards for control systems hardware and software
